EXPOTEES 2010 is our fifth annual showcase of students' projects which demonstrate innovation, research and development in a wide range of computing subjects.
Each year the exhibition of final year undergraduate work increases in size and variety and this year promises to be the largest exhibition to date with the launch of the new EXPOTEES on-line exhibition and the introduction of a sample of projects completed by our postgraduate students.
The event attracts guests from industry, education, business and the public service sector with many returning year on year to view the work of talented computing students.
As EXPOTEES matures we are delighted to see previous exhibitors return as employers in industry with advice and career opportunities to offer our current students.
So what can you expect to see in 2010? Well, the work presented at EXPOTEES 2010 will continue to build upon the reputation for diversity that previous exhibitions have established. We have an extremely wide range of exhibits from research and development projects involving advanced computer technology with wide-ranging applications in science, society and commerce to others that centre on entertainment such as computer games, animation, story telling and music.
This year we will be adding a digital music space to the exhibition to showcase the work produced by one of our newer courses and showcasing a selection of our postgraduate students' projects.
The students undertake an in-depth exploration of a chosen subject area and demonstrate the ability to research, analyse, synthesise, and creatively apply what they have studied. The project is often in an area they have gained an interest in either via a work placement or through their studies.
Some students have undertaken a project which has an external client and requires project managing to an industry standard.
The content of this exhibition will be representative of a cross section of our final year work; and as such will demonstrate the spectrum of subjects taught at the School of Computing.
