Travelling to Middlesbrough

For SatNav users, the postcode TS1 3BZ will take you to Southfield Road outside the School of Computing.

Alternatively, GPS users can find us at N 54° 34.195' W 1° 14.057' (up the stairs).

From The North

The best way into Middlesbrough from the north is down the A19.

Pass the Billingham exit on your left and cross over the river on the Tees Flyover. Whilst still on the bridge, move into the left hand lane and follow it off the main road, following the signs for Middlesbrough A66.

On the slip road, keep to the right hand lane and merge (twice) into the A66 following the overhead signs for Middlesbrough Centre.

After going up onto (another) flyover, immediately take the left lane to leave the A66 at the exit signposted Hartington Interchange. Go right at the roundabout at the top of the slip road.

From The South

The best way into Middlesbrough from the south is up the A1 and then A19.

Travel up the A1 and at Dishforth Interchange take the exit for A19 Teesside.

After about 40 miles, you pass through the south of Middlesbrough (turnings for Acklam and Thornaby). Soon after this, take the exit marked Middlesbrough A66.

Join the A66 and soon you go up onto a flyover. Immediately take the left lane to leave the A66 at the exit signposted Hartington Interchange. Go right at the roundabout at the top of the slip road.

From The West

The best way into Middlesbrough from the west is along the A66.

Follow the A66, passing the exit for the A19.

Soon you go up onto a flyover. Immediately take the left lane to leave the A66 at the exit signposted Hartington Interchange. Go right at the roundabout at the top of the slip road.
