The aim of this module is to develop the technical skills that are required to work as a professional 3D computer animator within the games industry. This module will cover the methods and practice used to produce animation of various types for use within the Computer Games environment, building on the students' existing and complementary knowledge.
Using industry standard software, students will undertake practical production work including free-form 3D animation and the use of motion capture software and hardware.
Students will work independently in labs and workshops and emphasis will be placed on the practical experience needed to produce work of a high standard. Tutorials and self-directed learning will be an important element in the learning process.
Assessment is 100% individual In-course Assessment.
