2D Character Animation

This module builds on previous knowledge of basic animation principles and applies it to the specific areas of 2D and 3D Digital Character Animation.

Students will develop skills in observation of movement, emotion and personality and translate these into believable character animation.

At the end of the module, students will have a portfolio of 2D and 3D character animation sequences. They will also have an understanding of the qualitative differences between 2D and 3D techniques.

Animation Principles and Concept Design are pre-requisites for this module.

This module must be taken in conjunction with 3D Character Animation.
