This module will build on drawing skills gained from Drawing and Composition 1.

Life drawing will form the basis of an investigation into movement, attitude and expression. Environmental drawing and still life will develop skills useful to level design and background art.

Students will be encouraged to develop a personalised style of drawing and to relate aspects of their own drawing to examples of good practice.

On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to

• Create convincing representations of human and animal form both from direct observation and from memory.
• Use manual tools to examine, visualise and test concepts.
• Discriminate between various drawing strategies and assess their application to different situations.

Student achievement will be measured by an In-Course Assessment.

Drawing and Composition 1 is a pre-requisite for this module.
