Graphical Mathematics

This module gives an introduction to the mathematical foundations of computer graphics, including vectors, matrix transformations and parametric vector representations of lines, curves and surfaces.

Students are shown the mathematical foundations of computer graphics and are given experience with the use of mathematical tools relevant to computer graphics to apply their skills to real problems.

Applications are considered for calculating transformations for viewing objects in space.

On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to

Assessment is by a single examination at the end of the module.

A grade C or above in GCSE Mathematics is essential for this module.
