This module is intended to give animation, games design, digital music, creative multimedia and web design students clear guidance that will enable them to present themselves in a professional manner when entering the jobs market.
Graduates working in creative disciplines are often expected to present their work in the form of show reel, website, portfolio or other such media. The work that will be done in this module will enable them to construct such a device to a standard that will allow them to compete effectively in a highly competitive field.
Previous work will be selected for inclusion and at least one new piece will be completed in order to add to the content of the portfolio. Any previous work that is incomplete may also be finished to a presentable standard where required, or enhanced to make potential improvements.
Construction of the portfolio will be critical, regardless of its format, and the standard of the work that is included will be carefully selected in terms of its fitness for purpose.
By the end of the module students should be able to present their own work in a professional manner.
Student achievement will be measured by In-Course Assessment. This will require production of a professional portfolio that demonstrates competence in an area in which the student would like to seek employment.
