This module will introduce students to the production of cartoons and other forms of animation for off-line, on-line and hybrid applications. It will explore a range of animation techniques, storyboarding and animatics to enable generation of a finished product.
Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the history and development of television animation and learn to visualize and construct a vector based character design.
The module will incorporate interactive elements via the use of relevant scripting techniques and will compare and contrast selected animations addressing social content, historical significance, artistic technique and entertainment value.
