Part Time Courses

The School of Computing is a purpose-built facility on the University campus, which is just a short walk away from the centre of Middlesbrough. The School offers a broad range of part-time and evening modules in information technology (IT).

Our flexible part-time programme of study enables you to update your existing skills and to develop new ones. Qualifications available range from the University Certificate in Professional Development to a Diploma of Higher Education and credits earned from these awards can contribute to those required for an honours degree.

Qualifications

Our versatile programme allows you to study modules over a flexible period to suit you. Each module earns you credits, which are accumulated to gain a recognised qualification. Full modules earn 12 credits and half modules six credits.

Facilities

Our air-conditioned computing facilities offer the latest in hardware and industry-standard software. There are more than 300 personal computers and Unix workstations in the School, supported by an extensive range of popular and specialist software in common business use. You will also have access to many of the University's other facilities including the sports centre, refectory and state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre.

Support

Technical support is available to students at all times and OASIS, our Open Access Student Information Service, supplies module notes, handouts and other information. It also offers a photocopying service.
