Part Time Postgraduate Courses

Postgraduate courses are taught as a series of modules, each covering a separate topic, but when brought together forming a comprehensive area of study.

You may study an individual module, or build them up to into the following qualifications

There are several approaches you can take

Full Time Masters Studied Part Time

All of our full time Masters degrees can be studied part time over 2 or 3 years. Because the classes are shared with full time students, they can take place at anytime during the day.

An individual module taught over 30 weeks would normally require attendance for 2 hours a week. Some modules are delivered over 15 weeks, with up to 4 hours of taught classes per week.

These courses also allow you to study for the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma as well as the full Masters degree.

Go to our full time Masters section to find out the courses on offer.

Masters Degree through Distance Learning

We offer a part time, distance learning Masters degree in Information Technology, through our distance learning partners, RDI Ltd.

More information about our part time MSc Information Technology.

Postgraduate Certificate in Learning Technologies

This course is specifically for teachers in primary, secondary or special needs education.

Short Postgraduate Courses

We also offer a range of short Professional Development courses aimed at students who already have a first degree. Typically, you might only study one or two modules at a time. These cover a variety of topics and, over time, can be built up to the award of the same range of postgraduate qualifications as above.

Go to our Professional Development section to find out more.

We can also tailor certain modules for block delivery to a group of students. Typically this would involve an intensive week of teaching, followed by two or three weeks of self study. It may be possible to arrange the week of teaching at the University or offsite. If you would like to discuss any such arrangement, contact the Postgraduate Programme Director.
