Introduction to 3D Animation

This module introduces the basic production techniques of 3D computer animation including modelling, texturing and rendering using a high end 3D software (SOFTIMAGE|XSI). No prior knowledge of digital computer animation or traditional animation is required.

Follow this module to extend your creative skills and experiment with a professional level 3D package to produce imaginative animations.

Introduction to Digital Imaging 1

10 credits Level 1
Prerequisite: Introduction to IT

This module gives you the opportunity to learn how to use industry-standard software to create and manipulate images. You will get an insight into professional design, use of colour, textures and special effects.

Introduction to Digital Imaging 2

10 credit Level 1
Prerequisite: Introduction to Digital Imaging 1

Building on the basic skills learnt in the Introduction to Digital Imaging 1 module, students study some advanced image manipulation features including colour theory, design concepts and advanced filters and effects.
