The module aims to give a foundation of transferable animation skills through the teaching of generic animation principles such as walk cycles, squash and stretch, running, overlap, anticipation and follow-through using drawn animation techniques.
Animation Skills aims to develop the skills of observation and sense of timing for both animal and human motion, exploring how these skills can be transferred and reproduced in an animation context.
As well as animation principles the module will also look at techniques for planning an animation such as character model sheets and layout.
